About Digitools

Digitools.ca is a directory of free, single-purpose web tools. Each tool does one thing and tries to do it well. There are no accounts, no ads serving third-party trackers, and no nonsense between you and whatever you came here to do.

How it works

Almost every tool on Digitools runs entirely in your browser as client-side JavaScript. When you paste a JSON snippet, a JWT, a password, or an SSL certificate into one of these tools, none of that data is transmitted to our servers. We literally cannot see it.

The handful of tools that need server resources (like live currency conversion in later releases) are clearly labelled.

Canadian focus

The financial and business tools are built specifically for Canadian rules — federal and provincial tax brackets, CMHC mortgage insurance, GST/HST/PST by province, statutory holidays per region, CPP and EI deductions. These are the things US-built tool sites get wrong or skip.

No nonsense, no tracking

Read the full privacy policy for specifics. The short version: we don't track you, we don't sell anything to anyone, and the tools work the same whether you're signed in or not — because there's nothing to sign in to.
